Richard Della Franca Medal Presentation

Lyle Swithenbank once again donned the bow tie and did a magnificent job hosting our most glamorous night of the year, the Richard Della Franca Medal Presentation.  Nearly 100 Hawks and Masters players and Coaching Staff, WAGS, Sponsors and supporters enjoyed a fantastic meal at The Vault Restaurant.

Huge Congratulations to Timmy McQuoid, his beloved Dees had a shocker of a year but he stood up to take out his 2nd Richard Della France Medal in arguably one of the best side the Hawks have ever put on the park!

Richard Della is always trying to avoid the cameras (thankfully!) so here he is hiding behind Swithers whilst Timmy is accepting his Award.

Della can’t avoid the spotlight forever so we finally have a photo of him presenting first year Hawk Kane Swithenbank with his Runner Up Award.

The Final Leaderboard

It was great to see all the Masters Players below as they all received a Medallion for being an Inaugural Pickering Brook Roo’s Masters Player!

Ben Hayward was the very worthy recipient of the Fred Van Elswyk Patron and Life Membership Award. Ben’s expertise as Treasurer over the last 5 years has ensured the Club has kept moving forward and his work on Sponsorship this year has proven to be a huge success for both Sponsors and Club alike.  Ben was unable to attend however Jake (pictured below with Arnie and Fred) accepted the Award on Ben’s behalf.  Jake has been helping out with the Entrance Gate on Game Day and I reckon we may be seeing more of him in the next few years!

Michael Fernie Club Services Recognition Award winners Glen Mitchelmore and Michael Fox are pictured below after being presented with their Award by Michael Fernie himself!

Glen has done a mountain of work over the last 4 years, whether it be making organising the sausages for the boys BBQ after training, marking the Oval for games, any Electrical work around the place and kicking miraculous goals for the Roos, Glen is always willing to help out.

Foxxy has only been around the Club for a couple of years but his impact has been immense.  Volunteering to be Assistant Coach was only the beginning, Foxxy was instrumental in the forming of the Pickering Brook Roos Masters Team, helped out with Sponsorship this year and will do whatever is needed around the Club.

Both very deserving recipients!!!
