The Karagullen Field Day is one of the Club’s most important Fundraisers. Whilst being a huge amount of work to prepare for, the day itself is a lot of fun! The setup starts the day before with the Gazebos being erected, the floor, tables, BBQ’s Sponsors Banners set up and the cool room and electrical work being sorted out.

The day itself starts early with the buns needing collecting at 6am from our magnificent Sponsor’s Bakers Delight and the cooking starting not long after. It is a long day of cooking and by the end of it we had managed to cook and sell the staggering amount below (the meat was purchased from another of our fantastic Sponsor’s Sebastians Butchers which probably explains why we sold it so quickly!)

100 steak burgers
100 bacon and egg rolls
300 buckets of chips which is 90kgs!!!

It is a huge effort and long day for the main crew which consisted of Danielle, Rich, Hayden, Steph and Izzy Della Franca, Glenno, Arnie and Leila, Ben and Tom Hayward, Ben Harffey, Shaun Foreman and Phil Newing.
We also got a fantastic turnout of players that came in for a few hours including Foxy, Jon Vecchio, Lyle Swithenbank, Corey Hunter, Ryan Linley, Tim McQuoid, Ryan Hunt, Josh Griffiths and Drew Fox (sorry if I missed anyone!).
It was well after dark by the time everything was packed up and put away, however the hard work was well and truly worth it as we raised over $2500 for the Club!
